Om Namo Bhagavate − Dr. Radhikaranjan Das

Is there someone here so vile in Sri Aurobindo Ashram who does not have reverence for Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in his heart? We will not find one here who hates Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, but we find plenty of people, who for certain personal gains and fear of loss of position, have decided to stand in dire opposition to what the the Mother and Sri Aurobindo have always stood for. [extract]

Om Namo Bhagavate

Cry of a child of the Mother to all worthy children of the Mother.

Have you heard the Mother's recorded voice? Have you heard with what tenderness She utters Sri Aurobindo's name? She has such a deep and profound admiration for Sri Aurobindo that creates a natural reverence for the Lord in the hearts of all her children. When the Mother met Sri Aurobindo physically for the first time on March 29th, 1914, She surrendered herself completely to Him without any reserve. The very next day she wrote in her diary "He whom we saw yesterday is on earth; his presence is enough to prove that a day will come when the darkness shall be transformed into light, and Thy reign shall be indeed established upon earth.... My adoration is beyond all words, my reverence is silent.'' (MCW-Vol 1, p 113.)

Is there someone here so vile in Sri Aurobindo Ashram who does not have reverence for Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in his heart? We will not find one here who hates Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, but we find plenty of people, who for certain personal gains and fear of loss of position, have decided to stand in dire opposition to what the Mother and Sri Aurobindo have always stood for.

It is a known fact that the darkness is always very closely and strongly present near the light and is always a powerful rival to it. And one can clearly understand that the greater the Light the denser the shadow, and when the light heads towards the Supramental, the Shadow is bound to be almost prehistoric and  be made of the densest inert matter. The Shadow wants to survive and wage a final war against the Divine's Light, so it strives to pull in as many stalwarts as possible to its side and tries to engulf and smash down all who stand for the Truth. The methods of this Shadow are extremely alluring and temptation is its most successful tool. Most people fall prey to beautiful promises of wealth, security, facilities and power over others. It may satisfy most to have a sense of superiority and command over their fellow-men and to enjoy certain luxuries.

Many years ago Kireet-bhai had given a talk in the school when I was a student. He had asked a very pertinent question. "To whom shall we pay our allegiance?" In Sanskrit scriptures, the sages have asked the same question, "Kasmai devaaya havishaa vidhema" – (Which God shall we propitiate with our offerings?)

Has the sweetness of money,  power and sex lured us away so much from the path of truth that we are ready to sacrifice the Ideals of our Divine Masters and  are willing to turn our backs on Them and proclaim in loud words  the manifestos of the Lord of Falsehood and the Lord of  Darkness? The one who has been constantly sponsored by the devil's advocate to write ill about Sri Aurobindo and debase Him to the level of the lowest, filthiest, desire-propelled animal-man has been put on the pedestal of a historian, and has been acclaimed to be an authority on Sri Aurobindo, licensed even to change and twist historical facts which Sri Aurobindo himself has clearly stated about his own life!

Is the smell of dollars so enticing that the Divine's fragrance of Truth, Light, Love and Beauty are masked and left unrecognised? The whole world stands in askance today to know why the Ashram Trust is fighting tooth and nail and pouring out money in an unending stream to protect this snake of a man who has assasinated Sri Aurobindo in the truest sense of the word? "To whom shall we pay our allegiance?" This question rings out loud and clear. Shall we live according to the Ideals of Sri Aurobindo or “Sri” Peter Heehs?  The Trustees are constantly covering him in an immaculate white coat of innocence and are considering him a scholar of extraordinary calibre. Let us learn to look straight into the heart of truth. Are there hidden dark secrets of the Trustees of Sri Aurobindo Ashram which Peter Heehs knows, and revealing those might be absolutely disastrous to the whole pack of power-hungry wolves and their retinue?

People of the Ashram know well in their heart of hearts as "To whom  shall we pay our allegiance?", but abstain from openly admitting it because they fear that their basic needs and rights as an Ashramite may be forfeited. It is so easy to state, "No one can sully Sri Aurobindo. He is ever glorious and is as brilliant as the sun.'' This sentence is of course hundred per cent true. Shall we then allow the future generations to have a perverted, distorted, falsified biography of the Lord, and consent to bury all true information and highest Ideals under the burden of a hostile biographer's senseless scribblings? The so-called great historian should not be permitted to twist authentic information, and even if he makes one false statement to make his book more saucy and attractive to western readers, he is a criminal. One cannot write any incorrect sentence about a builder of the Indian nation. Let the Indian Government look into this matter and take the necessary steps. Will the Govrenment tolerate any untrue, denigrating statement on Mahatma Gandhi? Just As Peter Heehs' visa was extended in a matter of fifteen minutes from one news item to another, let the truth also be scrutinised and revealed, and then the visa could be cancelled in a similar manner.

We are children of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo is our Lord. Shall we tolerate all false accusations against Him? Sri Aurobindo has been in the vanguard of the Indian Freedom Movement and was among the most respected leaders. The Indian Government has put him on a very high pedestal and has installed his statue in the National Parliament.

We want to hold the banner of Sri Aurobindo's Glory and Greatness high above and request all those who respect him as God or even as a freedom fighter and builder of the Indian Nation to stand for Him. Anyone with true vision will understand that he is the Prophet of Modern India.

It is He in the sun who is ageless and deathless,
        And into the midnight His shadow is thrown;
When darkness was blind and engulfed within darkness,
He was seated within it immense and alone.''

(Who -- Sri Aurobindo (SABCL, Vol-5, page 41)

Let us make a pledge to write to the Puducherry Governor from all states and various sectors of life to make an inquiry in the Ashram and reveal why the Ashram Trust has been constantly nurturing and housing a traitor who has written so negatively about the Guru and Founder of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. With due  respect to our True Leader, we earnestly pray that all who stand in opposition to Sri Aurobindo should go away at the earliest date. This is for the benefit of the whole Nation.

Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Aurobindaya.

Vande Mataram.
